Nyamira Constituency Benefits from Infrastructure Boost Under Ruto and Odinga, Says MP Mogaka

West Mugirango Member of Parliament Stephen Mogaka has credited President William Ruto and the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for key road development projects in his constituency.

According to media reports, the lawmaker highlighted the role both leaders played in expanding the region’s paved road network during a recent broadcast interview. Official statements indicate that the area’s first tarmac road was initiated by Odinga during his tenure as Minister for Roads, while a second tarmac project commenced under the current administration of President Ruto.

The local infrastructure drive includes the 12-kilometer Bondeni–Magombo road connecting West Mugirango and Kitutu Masaba. Construction works on the stretch were officially launched in September following decades of transport challenges for local farmers, motorists, and residents, according to local press reports.

A video circulating online shows MP Mogaka inspecting ongoing earthworks along the construction site, with reports suggesting additional projects, including the Kebirigo–Motagara and Nyamira Stage–Gianchore–Sironga roads, are also slated for upgrades.

Sources said the constituency is experiencing a broader rollout of public works spanning transport, electricity, water, and market facilities aimed at boosting trade and mobility across Nyamira County.https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1LdaXReDb5/
