My Friends Are In APC, You Need To Listen To Them, They’re Scared And Praying BAT Won’t Come Back-Momodu

African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain, Dele Momodu, has claimed that some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are privately praying that President Bola Tinubu does not return to power in 2027 because they fear that what he described as oppression could continue and worsen.

Momodu said although many of his friends belong to the ruling party, some of them are reportedly uncomfortable with the current political situation but are afraid to express their concerns publicly.

Speaking during an interview on Arise News on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, the ADC chieftain made the claim while criticising Tinubu’s administration and discussing the political atmosphere ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“Majority of my friends are in APC, I say this all the time. You need to listen to them behind the scene. They are all scared and some of them are even praying privately that Tinubu will not come back in 2027 bevaue they know the oppression will continue and get worse,” Momodu said.

The media personality suggested that the public support displayed by some members of the ruling party may not necessarily reflect their private opinions about the president’s leadership.

According to Momodu, some APC members are worried about the possibility of Tinubu securing another term, which he believes could prolong the conditions they allegedly fear.

His remarks come amid growing political activities and discussions surrounding the 2027 presidential election, with political parties and their supporters beginning to position themselves for the contest.

Momodu has repeatedly criticised Tinubu’s political approach, recently comparing the president’s actions with those of former military Head of State, General Sani Abacha. He has also questioned the independence of Nigeria’s executive, legislature and judiciary under the current administration.
