Mourinho makes firm decision on Endrick’s Real Madrid future after stunning Roma display
According to a report by Madrid Universal on Thursday October 15, 2026, Jose Mourinho has ruled out the possibility of Endrick leaving Real Madrid on loan in January, insisting that the Brazilian forward will remain at the club despite his limited playing time this season.
The 20-year-old strengthened his case for a bigger role with an impressive performance in Real Madrid’s dramatic 4-3 Champions League victory over Roma. Introduced from the bench with Madrid trailing 3-1, Endrick made an immediate impact, scoring the equaliser five minutes from time before Antonio Rudiger completed the remarkable comeback.
Despite playing for only around 30 minutes, the Brazilian was named Player of the Match, underlining his ability to influence important games when given the opportunity.
Speaking after the match, Mourinho was asked whether Endrick could leave on loan during the January transfer window. The Portuguese manager responded firmly, making his intentions clear.
“Mark my words again, it is impossible for Endrick to be loaned out,” Mourinho said, according to the report.
Endrick’s future had become a talking point because of his lack of involvement, with the forward reportedly managing just 35 minutes across two appearances in Madrid’s first 10 official matches of the season.
Regular playing time would be valuable for the youngster’s development, and several clubs, including Roma, have reportedly shown interest in securing his services.
However, Mourinho’s stance suggests that Real Madrid are determined to keep the Brazilian and find ways to integrate him more effectively into the first team.
His performance against Roma has given the manager another reason to trust him, although Endrick will need to maintain that level whenever opportunities arise.
