Man detained for 30 days under MPO Ordinance

Mardan  –   Police have detained Shahzad, for 30 days under Section 3 of the West Pakistan Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance, 1960, following an order issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Home and Tribal Affairs Department. He has been transferred to Central Jail, Mardan.

According to the notification issued by the provincial Home Department, the Deputy Commissioner of Mardan had submitted a report on Shahzad’s activities on the recommendation of the district police officer (DPO). The report characterised his activities as detrimental to public order, public safety and state security.
