‘KP to see improved law, order within 90 days’

Peshawar –  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Special Assistant for Information, Samar Haroon Bilour on Wednesday expressed confidence that the province would witness a visible improvement in law and order within 90 days, citing better coordination among security institutions and government departments.

Talking to journalists here, she said the measures taken under Governor’s Rule and the emergency arrangements would help improve the performance and morale of police and Frontier Constabulary (FC), contributing to a better security situation on the ground.

She said improved coordination among the federal and provincial governments, armed forces and police would also facilitate trade, ease public movement and help remove road blockades across the province.

Samar said the government would address public issues in a phased manner and would not resort to political victimisation. However, she said, those found responsible for misappropriating public resources would face action after a review of relevant evidence.
