Foreign Office introduces online document attestation system
ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has introduced a fully digital document attestation system, allowing citizens to apply online and receive electronic certificates via email after verification.
Under the new system, applicants will no longer need to make repeated visits to the ministry’s offices for document attestation. Applications and submitted documents will be reviewed and verified, with applicants informed of the outcome.
The system also allows applicants to pay the required fees online once the attestation process is completed. Following payment, the ministry will issue the e-certificate via email.

The initiative aims to make document attestation faster and more convenient while saving citizens time and effort. It is also expected to reduce queues and lengthy waiting periods associated with the traditional process.
The move is part of efforts to modernise public services in Pakistan by expanding digital access, improving administrative efficiency and making essential government procedures more accessible.
The new system will enable applicants to complete the attestation process remotely, reducing the need for repeated in-person visits to ministry offices.
