Female Cop Raped And Partner Fatally Shot Dead

Police in Gauteng are searching for six suspects following the abduction of two off-duty police officers in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni, in the early hours of Monday, October 12, 2026. The incident reportedly involved the sexual assault of a female officer and the shooting of her male partner.

According to the account, the suspects, who were allegedly armed, broke into the couple’s residence before forcing them into a Toyota Quantum. The officers were then taken to an isolated location near a sports field in Etwatwa Extension 10.

A police report indicated that the attackers targeted the officers in an attempt to gain access to their bank accounts. However, the situation escalated when the male officer allegedly refused to disclose his banking PINs. The suspects reportedly shot him several times, leaving him critically injured.

One of the attackers allegedly raped the female officer during the ordeal.

After the assault, the suspects reportedly dismantled the Quantum’s engine before fleeing. The motive for stripping the vehicle was not fully established in the supplied account.

Despite her ordeal, the female officer managed to reach nearby homes at approximately 4am to seek assistance. A resident quoted in the report said the officer was crying and explained that she and her partner had been held captive for several hours.

Police subsequently recovered and towed away the damaged vehicle as investigations began. The male officer was taken to hospital in critical condition, while the female officer received medical attention and trauma counselling.

Gauteng police spokesperson Brigadier Brenda Muridili confirmed that the victims were a 37-year-old female officer and a 44-year-old male officer.

According to the spokesperson, police are investigating attempted murder, house robbery and rape. Authorities are working to identify and apprehend the six suspects.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact their nearest police station, call Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or submit information through the MySAPS application.

The suspects remain wanted, and the allegations against them have yet to be tested in court.
