Crackdown against most wanted criminals intensified: Vehari DPO

MAILSI  –  On the instructions of Vehari District Police Officer (DPO) Tasswar Iqbal a crackdown against most wanted crimi­nals has been intensified across the district. During the month of September, Ve­hari police carried out vigor­ous operations and arrested 186 most wanted criminals, including 21 A category and 165 B category. According to statistics, during the same period in 2025, 124 declared criminals were arrested, including 28 A category and 86 B category, and compared to 2025, the arrest of de­clared criminals increased by 35 percent in 2026.

On this occasion, DPO Vehari Tasswar Iqbal said that steps are also being taken to cancel the pass­ports of dangerous and hardened criminals and arrest the absconding accused abroad.

DPO Vehari Tasswar Iqbal further said that due to effective strategies, coordinated operations and the use of modern technology, the arrest of crimi­nals involved in heinous crimes will continue.
