You Want To Tell Me That Gov of Zamfara That Wike Openly Humiliated Yesterday Is A Happy Man?—Momodu

African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain and Deputy Director-General of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council, Bashorun Dele Momodu, has accused Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, of using financial resources and alleged intimidation to deal with political opponents. Momodu made the allegations during an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

The ADC chieftain argued that Wike’s political approach had alienated several influential figures, warning that the consequences of such strained relationships could become significant. “Wike’s bravado, you all know what it’s all about. It’s about spending money and then using all kinds of subterranean forces to intimidate and bully his opponents,” Momodu said.

He compared what he described as Wike’s treatment of political opponents with the situation involving Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who has been at the centre of a prolonged political dispute involving Wike. “Just like they did to even the governor, Fubara. Governor Fubara, you want to tell me that you believe the man is happy today, that they muscled him out of the gubernatorial race?” he asked.

Momodu subsequently argued that Wike’s alleged treatment of political figures extended beyond Rivers, pointing to an incident involving the governor of Zamfara State. Momodu questioned whether the Zamfara governor would be pleased following what he described as a public humiliation by Wike. “You want to tell me that the governor of Zamfara, that Wike openly humiliated yesterday, is a happy man? The answer is no,” he added.
