According to a report by The Vanguard on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and the governors of Anambra and Osun states, Charles Soludo and Ademola Adeleke, were present on Wednesday at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja.

The three men belong to different political parties, yet they were named coordinators of the APC campaign in Rivers, the FCT, Anambra and Osun states respectively. Their names appeared on a list released on Tuesday.

The event held at the State Banquet Hall, where APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda spoke about the party’s size and political reach.

“No political party in Nigeria has our structure. We have over 261,000 party executives, from the national to the ward levels,” he said.

Yilwatda added that the APC currently has 31 governors, along with two supporting “wingers” from the Southwest and Southeast, who come from Accord and APGA respectively.

The party chairman also spoke on the performance of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, claiming it has made significant progress in its first three years.

“Never before has a president demonstrated achievements in terms of policies and projects that can be visibly touched, felt, seen and heard like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.

President Tinubu was among those present at the inauguration. Others in attendance included Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, lawmakers, state governors and other political figures.

The inauguration is meant to formally launch the ruling party’s organised campaign for the 2027 presidential election, with coordinators from across the country expected to lead mobilisation efforts in their respective states.
