“We have to win for our fans” – Vision FC midfielder Victor Abdul Rahman targets Hearts of Oak victory

Vision FC midfielder Victor Abdul Rahman believes his side must secure victory against Hearts of Oak on Saturday to end their poor run of form and bring smiles to their supporters.

The Tema-based club will welcome the Phobians to the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in a Matchday 7 Ghana Premier League fixture, scheduled for 15:00 GMT.

Vision FC are yet to record a win in their opening five league matches, managing three draws and two defeats. The results have left them sitting 15th on the league table with six points.

Abdul Rahman, who has started all six league games for Vision this season, says the team must take advantage of home support and fight for maximum points.

“We can’t afford to drop points against Hearts of Oak on Saturday. We have to win and make our fans here in Tema happy,” the 20-year-old told journalist Shaban Mohammed.

However, Vision face a tough challenge against a Hearts of Oak side that regained confidence after ending a three-game winless spell with a 1-0 victory over Port City FC.

The Phobians currently occupy second place with 11 points, three points behind league leaders Medeama, and will be hoping to continue their push at the top of the table.
