Thembisa man arrested for alleged school drug dealing
A 35-year-old man was detained at the Tembisa Police Station on October 7 for alleged drug dealing and impersonating a soldier.
According to EMPD spokesperson Chief Superintendent Kelebogile Thepa, law enforcers received information regarding a suspect allegedly selling drugs to learners at a secondary school.
The information followed concerns about gangsterism and criminal activities involving learners. Officers followed up on the information, leading to the arrest.
During the operation, officers recovered dagga with an estimated street value of R680, as well as R135 in cash, believed to be proceeds from the suspected drug dealing. An army-style shirt was also recovered, resulting in the suspect facing an additional charge of impersonating a soldier.
