ROM Vs RMA: Real Madrid Official Starting Lineup Against AS Roma

According to a report by Madrid Universal on Wednesday October 14, 2026, Real Madrid have confirmed their starting lineup for tonight’s UEFA Champions League clash against AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

Vinicius Junior returns to the starting eleven after being left on the bench for the weekend’s La Liga encounter against Villarreal.

Jose Mourinho’s side will be aiming to secure a second consecutive victory in the competition as they continue their European campaign against the Italian giants. The manager has made several changes to his selection ahead of the important fixture.

Vinicius is the biggest inclusion in the team after missing out on a starting role against Villarreal. The Brazilian winger will be eager to make an impact in Europe following his recent dismissal in the domestic league.

The 26-year-old has received a four-match suspension in Spanish competitions after being sent off during Real Madrid’s 1-0 victory over Villarreal. However, the punishment does not prevent him from featuring in the Champions League, giving him an opportunity to respond on the European stage.

His return comes at the expense of Arda Guler, who drops to the substitutes’ bench. Yan Diomande keeps his place in the attack alongside Vinicius and Kylian Mbappe as Real Madrid prepare to test Roma’s defence.

Jude Bellingham will continue in the attacking midfield role, providing creativity and support for the front three. Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni also retain their positions in the double pivot, with the pair expected to contribute defensively and help the team control possession.

There are two changes in defence, with Denzel Dumfries and Marc Cucurella coming into the starting lineup at full-back. They replace Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alvaro Carreras, respectively.

Thibaut Courtois remains the first-choice goalkeeper and will be hoping to deliver another assured performance between the posts.

Courtois; Dumfries, Konate, Rudiger, Cucurella; Valverde, Tchouameni; Diomande, Bellingham, Vinicius Jr., Mbappe.
