RCCG Youth Province 1 offers free medical services to Lagos residents
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Youth Province 1, has provided free medical services to residents of Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos State, as part of efforts to improve access to healthcare and promote community well-being.
The medical outreach, held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Ogba Taxi Park, was organised under the leadership of the Pastor-in-Charge of the Province, Pastor Oluwagbemileke Adeboye.
Beneficiaries received free medical consultations, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, medications, health education and counselling.
The initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3, which focuses on good health and well-being, and forms part of the church’s Christian Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
Speaking at the event, the Assistant Pastor-in-Charge of Province (CSR), Pastor Martins Olusakin, said the outreach was organised to address pressing health challenges in the community.
He said the church considered it important to address people’s physical needs alongside their spiritual well-being.
“Health is wealth, and as a Church, we cannot ignore the physical needs of the people while we minister to their spiritual needs. This medical outreach aligns with our commitment to SDG 3. We want to ensure that even the most vulnerable can access basic healthcare with dignity. This is the gospel in action,” he said.
Also speaking, the Assistant Pastor-in-Charge of Province (CSR 2) and Pastor-in-Charge of RCCG Living Seed Church (Home Indeed), Pastor Adeola Abolaji, said the outreach reflected the church’s commitment to addressing the spiritual and physical needs of people.
“Jesus healed the sick and fed the hungry. We are following in His footsteps. Beyond praying for healing, we are also providing access to medical care. We believe God cares about the total man — spirit, soul, and body — and this outreach is our way of showing that no one is left behind,” he said.
Beneficiaries, including elderly people, women and young people, expressed appreciation for the intervention, describing it as timely amid prevailing economic challenges.
The church said the medical outreach was among several CSR initiatives undertaken by RCCG Youth Province 1 to promote social welfare and create sustainable community impact across Lagos State.
