Intermittent rain continued in Chitral and surrounding areas, while the mountains have turned white after the first snowfall of the season.
The rain and snowfall have intensified the cold, prompting residents to start wearing warm clothes. Rain has also partially disrupted the power supply. Water levels have risen in local streams and nullahs, while the flow of the Chitral River has increased.
According to the local administration, connecting roads in Chitral remain open to traffic. However, residents have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel during the rain.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that the rain is likely to continue for the next 24 hours.
