Primate Ayodele Reveals to Tinubu Those Who Could Fight His Second-Term Bid Ahead of 2027 Election

According to a report from a video shared on Facebook on October 14, 2026, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, issued a warning about the political challenges President Bola Ahmed Tinubu could face ahead of the 2027 presidential election, including opposition to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in some areas. The cleric’s warning comes amid growing political activities and disagreements as politicians position themselves ahead of the next general election.

In his message, Ayodele warned that some people who are unhappy with the APC could remain within the party while working against its interests. He suggested that dissatisfaction among party members could create difficulties for the ruling party as it prepares for the next election.

“Some people who are not happy with the APC will remain there to fight against it,” Ayodele said.

The statement highlights the possibility of internal disagreements becoming a challenge for the APC ahead of the 2027 presidential election. Political parties often face competing interests among their members, particularly when different groups disagree over leadership, political appointments, candidate selection and strategies for securing electoral support.

For Tinubu, who is seeking a second term in office, maintaining unity within the APC could be an important part of his political strategy. Disagreements among party members and dissatisfaction with political decisions could complicate efforts to build a united front ahead of the election.

The cleric has also warned about the difficulties Tinubu and other political figures could encounter during election campaigns. In his October 11 remarks, he spoke about the possibility of resistance to APC campaigns in certain areas, highlighting concerns about public dissatisfaction and political opposition.
