Praful Desai Inspects Dumping Yard in Karimnagar, Monitors Fire-Control Measures

Hyderabad: Karimnagar Municipal Commissioner (KMC) Praful Desai has inspected the city’s dumping yard along with the engineering, sanitation and fire department officials.

The Commissioner assessed the ground-level situation and inspected the areas where minor fires and smoke had been reported. Staying at the site, the Commissioner coordinated with municipal staff and fire department officials to ensure that the fires were extinguished.

Officials and staff were directed to remain vigilant and take all necessary precautions to prevent such incidents in the future and ensure that no fire or smoke occurs at the dumping yard.

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner stated that the KMC is giving special attention to city sanitation management and environmental protection. He noted that smoke levels at the dumping yard had reduced significantly and that necessary measures were being taken to address the issues at the site.

Bio-mining operations are already underway to reduce the accumulated waste, and additional bio-mining machinery is being installed to expedite the process and prevent inconvenience to the public.
