“Our bundle of joy has been with us for some time now” – John Boyega reveals he secretly got married nearly two years ago as he welcomes first child

British-Nigerian actor John Boyega has revealed that he secretly got married nearly two years ago and has now welcomed his first child with his wife.

The Star Wars actor opened up about his marriage during a recent interview with The Guardian, explaining why he and his wife chose to keep their wedding private.

“We both like the idea of celebrating something established rather than celebrating the entry,” he said.

Although the couple opted for a quiet ceremony, Boyega revealed that he hopes to have a bigger celebration someday, joking that they would “have to shut Nigeria down!”

Speaking about starting a family, the actor expressed his happiness, saying, “My life is completely fulfilled in terms of family. It’s been so nice with the timing.”

At the time of the interview, Boyega disclosed that they were expecting a baby boy. However, the actor has since confirmed the arrival of their child through a post on Instagram.

“Our bundle of joy has been with us for some time now but thank you for all the well wishes. Also my sister is about to pop! Wish her well too! Back to feeding this big baby!”
