“Nigeria’s Election Will Be Like America’s”:Ayodele’s Message to Amupitan as “The World Is Watching”

In a recent video on Facebook on Wednesday October 14th, 2026, Ayodele has warned the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Joash Amupitan, that Nigerians and the international community will closely monitor the conduct of the 2027 general elections.

Ayodele issued the warning while addressing Amupitan in a video in which he expressed concerns about the credibility of the forthcoming elections and cautioned against electoral manipulation.

Speaking directly to the INEC chairman, Ayodele declared, “INEC chairman, the world is watching,” stressing the importance of transparency and accountability in the electoral process.

He also compared Nigeria’s forthcoming elections to those conducted in the United States, suggesting that the country should adopt a process that allows votes to be counted transparently and the wishes of the electorate to prevail.

“Nigeria election, Nigeria election will be like American election,” he said.

Ayodele further expressed concern about possible attempts to manipulate election results, warning that Nigerians would not remain silent if the process was compromised.

In his remarks, he repeatedly emphasised the issue of election rigging, using the phrase “fire for fire” to convey his determination to resist any alleged attempt to undermine the credibility of the polls.

“Rigging, ah, rigging for rigging, fire for fire,” Ayodele said in the video.

His comments come as INEC intensifies preparations for the 2027 general elections, with public attention increasingly focused on the commission’s ability to deliver a free, fair and credible exercise.
