Meghan’s Ex-Agent Finally Reveals the Real Reason He Dropped Her After Report She Was ‘Difficult to Work With’

After previously telling The Times he was glad he didn’t “have to think about” Meghan’s career anymore, speculation arose that there was bad blood between them. However, during an October 2026 appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show, Emanuel clarified his comments, saying that his decision to drop Meghan as a client had nothing to do with her.

“Listen, I got a busy life,” he told the host. “She is finding her voice. I’m happy for her … I just have a lot on my plate. I’ve started a new company, I run TKO, I have clients. He continued, “I didn’t want it occupying my brain. When I’m involved in somebody, it constantly—when I wake up in the morning, clients occupy my brain. But that’s what happens. And I just didn’t want to do that anymore. [It’s] nothing about her; I just needed to move on to other things I was doing.”

Meghan signed with WME in April 2023; at the time, she landed Emanuel as one of her agents. Less than two years later, however, sources told Page Six that WME “dropped” the Duchess of Sussex because she was allegedly “too demanding” and “difficult to work with.”

In January 2024, the former Suits star reportedly exploded on her team and pressed for a meeting full of “decks and plans.” After her outburst intensified, Emanuel decided he “was done with her.”

Despite Page Six reporting that WME dropped Meghan as a client, the agency has confirmed that it still represents her.
