Mark Zuckerberg has gone viral this week for his extreme reaction to a pint of Guinness.

The 42-year-old Meta founder was speaking on John Collison’s Cheeky Pint podcast alongside his Chief of AI Alexander Wang, to discuss the tech firm’s latest AI model.

The trio began the show by toasting a pint of the Irish stout and taking a swig.

Too much: Mark Zuckerberg appeared to regret taking a sip of Guinness as a guest on John Collison’s Cheeky Pint podcast

But Zuckerberg appeared to regret his decision almost immediately. After he tentatively took a small sip, he appeared to grimace slightly as he forced himself to swallow the drink.

After finishing his sip, he turned away slightly and blinked several times.

Commenters pointed out that he later pushed his glass away so it was almost out of reach.

One person said in response to the clip: ‘Never seen someone try and chew a Guinness.’

Another wrote: ‘Zuckerberg trying to enjoy Guinness and failing is one of the funniest things to me.’

And a third added: ‘I’m not a fan of Guinness, but I can drink it without looking like a ten-year-old with his first beer.’

Though he may not be a fan of the Black Stuff, Zuckerberg may need to steel his nerves as he will likely be spending more time in Ireland.

Last month, he and his wife Priscilla Chan bought a three-storey Gothic-style castle in the country.

A spokesman said: ‘Mark and his family are excited to continue caring for this historic home and look forward to spending time in Ireland, where Meta maintains its international headquarters.’

Built in 1827 for an English politician, the property is a three-storey, cut-stone Gothic Revival house in County Waterford, about 93 miles southwest of Dublin.

The price paid by Zuckerberg in the off-market deal is not known.

The property has been extensively renovated over the past 20 years by its previous owners.

Meta employs about 1,500 people in Ireland, with Dublin being home to its international headquarters.

Zuckerberg and his family will continue to live in the United States and use the Irish property when conducting Meta business in the country.
