Fans React To Video Of Yamal Celebrating His Player of the Match Award With His Mother at Rams Park

According to a post on its official X account on Wednesday October 14, 2026, Nigerian sports media personality Pooja has shared a heartwarming video of Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal celebrating with his mother, Sheila Ebana, after the club’s 4-1 victory over Galatasaray.

The video, posted on X, shows the 19-year-old sharing a tender moment with his mother after receiving the Player of the Match award. Pooja accompanied the post with the caption: “Lamine Yamal with his mother after winning MVP against Galatasaray 🧡❤️”

Barcelona’s win came in the UEFA Champions League group stage at Rams Park in Istanbul on Tuesday, October 13. The match was played a day before the post’s stated publication date of Wednesday, October 14.

Yamal did not score, but played a key role in Barcelona’s comeback, providing two assists as the visitors overturned an early deficit. His performance helped drive the Spanish side to a commanding result in a challenging away atmosphere.

The young winger’s contribution drew attention beyond the scoreline, with his creativity and composure helping Barcelona find a way back into the match. The award recognised his influence in the team’s attacking play.

Pooja’s video offered a glimpse of the personal celebration that followed the final whistle, shifting the focus from the match to the family support behind the young star.

The moment resonated with fans, who often see Yamal’s achievements on the pitch but less frequently witness his celebrations with loved ones.

The victory strengthened Barcelona’s position in the group-stage campaign and provided a memorable European night for the team.

For Yamal, the performance added another notable chapter to a career that has continued to attract attention at club and international level.

Barcelona’s four goals secured a convincing margin, but Yamal’s two assists were central to the turnaround. His recognition as MVP revealed the impact he made without finding the net himself.
