European psychiatry group launches effort to guide responsible AI use

European mental-health researchers have launched an expert working group to examine how artificial intelligence should be developed, assessed and governed in psychiatry and neuroscience. Announced during the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology congress in Munich, the initiative is intended to guide responsible use rather than endorse a particular chatbot or treatment.
