“Enough of the Irrelevant Preaching” – Ogyaba Drags Obinim Over Marital Issues
Prophet Ogyaba has advised Bishop Daniel Obinim to stop discussing his marital problems publicly, following the latter’s recent comments about his estranged wife, Florence, during a church service.
Ogyaba’s remarks come after Obinim reportedly spoke about their marital difficulties on October 13, 2026, sharing details of the disagreement with members of his congregation. The comments have since attracted attention on social media.
In a video circulating online, Ogyaba responded to Obinim’s statements, particularly the mention of his name in connection with the ongoing marital dispute between the founder of International Godsway Church and Florence.
Recalling his own experience, Ogyaba said Obinim had previously advised him to remain silent when allegations of infidelity against him became a subject of public discussion on social media.
According to Ogyaba, Obinim had encouraged him not to discuss his marital difficulties publicly, advice he believes the bishop should also follow in handling his current situation.
“When my marital issue came up, you advised me not to speak publicly about it. So, if possible, you should also stop discussing your marital issues publicly,” Ogyaba stated.
He further cautioned Obinim against sharing sensitive family matters with church members, warning that their opinions and influence could affect his decisions during an already difficult period.
Ogyaba explained that people who listen to such personal revelations might encourage someone to take certain actions before later criticising that person publicly. He urged Obinim to exercise caution about whom he trusts with details of his private life.
The prophet also maintained that Obinim had misunderstood his position and stressed that he did not want to be dragged into the dispute between the bishop and his estranged wife.
Ogyaba’s response appeared to centre on the need for restraint, privacy and careful handling of family disagreements, particularly when the people involved hold influential positions within religious communities.
Beyond addressing Obinim directly, Ogyaba appealed to both the bishop and Florence to consider the potential consequences of their public disagreements for their children.
He urged the estranged couple to put their differences aside and avoid actions or statements that could negatively affect the children’s relationship with either parent.
According to Ogyaba, protecting the children from the consequences of the dispute should remain a priority, regardless of the disagreements between their parents.
His comments add another dimension to the ongoing public discussion surrounding Obinim’s marital difficulties, as social media users continue to react to statements made by the religious figures.
Ogyaba’s central message was that marital problems should be handled carefully and privately, rather than discussed openly before church members, especially when children could be affected by the dispute.
However, it remains unclear whether Obinim will respond to Ogyaba’s latest advice or make any further public comments about his relationship with Florence.
