Cristiano Ronaldo Sends Strong Warning To Lamine Yamal After Ballon Dor Talk

Cristiano Ronaldo has sent a strong message to Barcelona star Lamine Yamal after the Ballon d’Or debate started trending online. According to reports from Marca and ESPN, the young Spanish winger has been tipped by many fans to win the next Ballon d’Or award.

Speaking in an interview reported by Goal.com and Fabrizio Romano, Ronaldo said Lamine Yamal is a fantastic talent with a bright future ahead of him. The Portuguese legend said he has been watching the Barcelona youngster and he is impressed with his skills.

According to Sky Sports, Ronaldo warned Yamal that being talented is not enough to stay at the top. He said the young star must work very hard, stay disciplined and avoid distractions if he wants to become the best player in the world.

As reported by BBC Sport, Ronaldo explained that he was also very young when he started playing for Manchester United and he had to make many sacrifices to reach where he is today. He said fame and money can destroy young players if they are not careful.

The Al Nassr striker also talked about the comparison between Yamal and himself. According to The Sun and Daily Mail, Ronaldo said Yamal should not try to be like him or Lionel Messi. He should try to be himself and create his own history in football.

Many football fans on social media have reacted to Ronaldo’s message. Some fans agreed with Ronaldo that Yamal needs to stay focused, while others said Yamal is already better than many players at his age.

Lamine Yamal has not yet responded to Ronaldo’s message, but according to reports from Mundo Deportivo, the Barcelona star respects Ronaldo a lot and sees him as one of his role models.
