Celine Dion gets her own Barbie with wicked stepmother vibes

Barbie has honoured Celine Dion by creating a new signature doll in her image.

The appearance of the doll pays tribute to the navy, long-sleeved dress Dion wore when she performed Titanic theme song My Heart Will Go On at the Academy Awards in 1998.

The blue necklace the doll wears is inspired by the necklace known as the “heart of the ocean” that plays an important role in the 1997 blockbuster.

The doll’s hair is styled into an updo and it also wears a pair of silver earrings.

Dion said: “It is a true honour to join the Barbie legacy with a doll inspired by one of the most meaningful moments of my career.

“I hope this doll inspires everyone to express themselves with confidence, follow their dreams and believe in the power of their own voice.”

Dion is the latest star to have her likeness used for a Barbie doll, following the likes of Mariah Carey and Tina Turner.

Margot Robbie, who played Barbie in the 2023 blockbuster film, also had doll made in her likeness.

With nearly 260 million albums sold worldwide, Dion is one of the best-selling and most decorated artists in pop music history, known for hits including My Heart Will Go On and Because You Loved Me.

In 2022, Dion disclosed that she had been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome and stepped away from performing.

She returned to the stage last month with the first of 16 shows in September and October at the Plenitude Arena in a suburb of Paris.
