28yrs Old Man & A 17yrs Boy Gang Raped A 13yrs Old Girl During Attack, Suspects Arrested
Two male suspects, aged 17 and 28, have been arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a 13-year-old girl in Bolobedu, Limpopo, following an investigation by the South African Police Service’s Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit.
The arrests were made on Wednesday, October 14, as investigators pursued allegations involving two separate incidents that reportedly occurred in the same village during April 2026.
According to police information, one alleged incident took place at the residence of the 28-year-old suspect, while the other allegedly occurred near a sports ground and involved the 17-year-old suspect.
The disturbing matter reportedly came to light when the child’s mother noticed that her daughter had a R20 banknote and questioned her about where she had obtained the money.
The girl allegedly told her mother that a male had given her the money after raping her. Following the disclosure, the matter was reported to police on October 10, prompting an investigation into the allegations.
FCS Unit members subsequently arrested the two suspects as part of efforts to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged offences.
Both suspects are expected to appear before the Kgapane Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, October 15, where they are expected to face rape charges.
Police investigations remain ongoing, and authorities are working to establish the full details of the alleged incidents.
The case highlights the importance of safeguarding children against sexual violence and ensuring that disclosures of abuse are taken seriously.
Parents, caregivers and community members are encouraged to report suspected sexual offences involving children to the police and seek assistance from appropriate child-protection services.
The arrests represent a development in the investigation, but the allegations against both suspects will still have to be tested in court. They are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
Authorities have not provided further details about the identities of the suspects or indicated whether additional arrests are expected.
The investigation continues as the case moves towards its first court appearance, with the focus remaining on establishing the facts and ensuring that the matter proceeds through the justice system.
