Walmart plans to cover 250+ drugs, including some diabetes medications, at no cost for employees

Walmart $WMT plans to cover more than 250 prescription drugs at no cost for its employees, adding the benefit at a time when many other large companies are raising healthcare costs and eliminating coverage for certain medications, according to Bloomberg.Among the covered medications are both generic drugs and high-profile branded treatments — Novo Nordisk’s Ozempic and Eli Lilly $LLY’s Mounjaro among them — which employees with Type 2 diabetes can receive at no cost after receiving prior approval, according to Bloomberg.
