Van Vicker Is Demanding GHC10m From Lil Win After Sueing Him For Defamation

According to a report by The BBC Ghana today being Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Ghanaian actor Van Vicker has reportedly dragged fellow entertainer Lilwin to court over statements he considers defamatory, seeking GH¢10 million in compensation.

The legal dispute reportedly arose from comments Lilwin made before the production of the movie A Journey to Africa, which was filmed at Nzulezu in the Western Region.

According to the court documents, Lilwin allegedly claimed that Van Vicker had failed to participate in the movie. He is also accused of threatening to prevent the actor from appearing in any Kumawood production.

Van Vicker is challenging the alleged remarks, claiming they have caused him significant emotional distress and raised fears about his personal safety.

A document dated October 10, 2026, states that the actor has experienced fear and anxiety following the alleged statements. He further claims that concerns about his safety compelled him to cancel scheduled business trips to Kumasi.

Through his legal representatives, Van Vicker is asking the court to award him GH¢10 million in exemplary damages. He is also seeking additional compensation for libel, together with legal costs arising from the proceedings.

The actor is not limiting his demands to financial compensation. He also wants the court to order Lilwin to retract the statements in question and publish a formal apology on news portals for four consecutive weeks.

Additionally, Van Vicker is requesting a court order restraining Lilwin from making similar statements about him in the future.

The lawsuit was signed by Ebenezer Asare, who is acting as counsel for Van Vicker in the matter.

The case has brought attention to the reported disagreement between the two actors, with Van Vicker seeking legal remedies over comments he believes have damaged his reputation and affected his peace of mind.

However, the allegations have yet to be established through a court determination. Lilwin’s response to the claims and the court’s eventual decision will be important in determining the outcome of the dispute.

The proceedings will also determine whether Van Vicker is entitled to the financial compensation, public apology and other orders he is seeking.
