Van Vicker Hits Lil Win With GH¢10 Million Lawsuit – Says ‘My Name Is Not For Sale’
Popular Ghanaian actor Van Vicker has taken Kumawood star Lil Win to court for defamation and is demanding GH¢10 million in damages.
The lawsuit is shaking the movie industry today.
For weeks, Van Vicker and Lil Win have been fighting in public.
Lil Win accused Van Vicker of pulling out of his movie project at the last minute. He was angry and said Van Vicker spoilt his production.
In a new video, Lil Win went further. He demanded an apology from Van Vicker and warned that if he does not apologise, he will make sure Van Vicker never acts in Kumawood again.
Van Vicker did not keep quiet. He rejected Lil Win’s story, saying it was not accurate.
Van Vicker explained that Lil Win wanted to use him for about 20 days for the movie but wanted to pay him small money that did not match the work. That is why he refused the job.
Sources close to Van Vicker say the actor feels his hard-earned reputation is being destroyed.
He says Lil Win’s public threats and accusations make him look like an unprofessional and greedy actor who disrespects Kumawood.
Van Vicker believes this is defamation. He wants the court to stop Lil Win from making further damaging statements and to pay GH¢10 million for damaging his name and career.
This is not Lil Win’s first defamation trouble. He is already facing a GH¢5 million suit from actress Martha Ankomah and was recently fined GH¢10,000 by the Supreme Court for disrespectful conduct in that case.
The court is expected to hear the case in the coming days. If Van Vicker wins, Lil Win may have to pay millions and publicly apologise.
For now, both actors have not released official statements, but fans are already divided on social media. Some say Van Vicker is right to defend his name. Others say Lil Win was only fighting for his movie.
One thing is clear – this Kumawood war has just moved from social media to the courtroom.
