He said his main focus remains on their six children.

“This is not an easy post for me to write, but I feel it’s only right to share this with everyone who has been part of our journey,” Parker wrote.

Parker said the decision to go their separate ways was difficult. He thanked Kacha for the years they spent together and the memories they created.

He also paid tribute to her love, support and kindness, saying she stood by him and believed in him during difficult times.

But the former football star also admitted that his personal struggles affected those closest to him.

“I have made mistakes and struggled with personal addictions that have affected my life and the people I love,” he wrote.

Parker apologised to Kacha for the pain he caused and said he accepted responsibility for his shortcomings.

“Kacha, I’m truly sorry for the times I hurt you, let you down and caused you pain,” he said.

Despite the separation, Parker said the challenges in their relationship would not erase the good moments they shared.

He described Kacha as a phenomenal mother and a supportive partner.

The former striker said their biggest priority would now be their six children. He said they would continue to co-parent and work together to raise them.

One thing that will never change is our commitment to our children. We will continue to co-parent and raise all six kids to become loving, respectful, strong and successful individuals.

Parker said relationships do not always turn out as expected. He admitted he had regrets and hoped Kacha would one day forgive him.

He also wished her happiness, peace and fulfilment in the next chapter of her life.

“Regardless of where life takes us, I will always want to see you happy, loved and appreciated. No one deserves it more than you,” Parker wrote.

The former Bafana Bafana international also asked supporters and the public to respect their privacy as they deal with the separation.

Parker said he was choosing gratitude, personal growth and accountability as he looks to the future.

“I choose to be grateful for what was, take accountability for where I went wrong and trust God with what comes next,” he wrote.
