SUV fled scene after hitting child on bike in Wallingford, police say

WALLINGFORD — A girl was rushed to the hospital after she was struck in a hit-and-run near a Wallingford intersection while riding her bike Monday afternoon, police said.The bicyclist was hit by a dark-colored SUV, either black or gray, near Washington and Hosford streets around 4:20 p.m. Monday, Officer Alex Torres said.
