Six vehicles involved in early morning crash on I-35 in Wyandotte County

The crash happened around 5:15 a.m. on northbound I-35, just south of 7th Street.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the driver of a Nissan Titan changed lanes into another vehicle's blind spot, lost control and spun into a Ford F-550 hauling a trailer.

The impact caused the Ford to jackknife and scrape along a concrete barrier for about two-tenths of a mile.

Signs and debris from the barrier were thrown into the southbound lanes, where three other vehicles struck them.

The 36-year-old driver of the Nissan was taken to a hospital with possible injuries after complaining of pain.
