Semi vs. car crash on I-90 in Freeborn County leads to injuries

(ABC 6 News)–A crash between a semi and car on I-90 led to injuries Monday evening in Freeborn County in Oakland Township.

The semi was eastbound on I-90 around 5 p.m. while the car was westbound when it left the roadway and entered the eastbound interstate lanes. The vehicles made contact on eastbound I-90 near mile marker 171.

The driver of the car, Alena Atchley, 20, of Mankato, received non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the semi, Serhii Kononenko, 43, of Spring Hill, Fla., was uninjured.

The investigation into the crash is continuing.
