Selma Blair posted on social media from plane — just moments before biting incident that left flight attendants injured
0Selma Blair posted content to Instagram while aboard a plane on Sunday — just moments before she was arrested for allegedly getting violent and injuring multiple flight attendants.
The actress, 54, included a foggy aerial view from her airplane seat in her post, which featured a montage of content set to the Pixies’ “Wave of Mutilation.”
Other shots included her smiling in selfies and with friends, and pics of her dog, Scout.
“From LA to New Mexico to La to nyc to LA Scout and I have been busy. I miss you,” Blair, 54, captioned the post.
As reported earlier Monday, Blair allegedly punched one flight attendant and bit another on a Delta Airlines flight on Sunday on the way to John F. Kennedy International Airport, per TMZ.
Per 911 audio, a pilot called for medical assistance and law enforcement to be on hand when the plane landed to help with an “abusive” passenger on their flight from LAX in Los Angeles to JFK in New York City, reporting “a bloody nose and some bite marks.”
The pilot also claimed that the “disruptive” passenger “bashed her head on the bulkhead” and would need to get “potentially checked out as well as involved with law enforcement.”
Blair was reportedly put in restraints on the plane and arrested upon landing. While in the ambulance en route to the hospital, she allegedly repeatedly kicked a Port Authority police officer in the head.
Once at the hospital, the “Legally Blonde” star allegedly assaulted a nurse, who has pressed charges.
Blair’s rep told Page Six that “Selma experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct. Upon landing, she received immediate medical attention and is currently in stable condition.”
Page Six can confirm that the actress has now been hit with two federal assault charges by the FBI. She is charged federally for assaulting the flight attendant and with state charges for assaulting the police officer and the nurse.
A spokesperson for Delta told us in a statement that the airline “has zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior, as the safety of our customers and crew always comes first.”
The spokesperson confirmed the incident occurred on Oct. 11 and added, “No operational impact to the flight as the flight landed ahead of schedule at JFK. Law enforcement responded upon the flight’s arrival at JFK.”
