Sri Lanka chase down target of 169 with 17 balls to spare

Pakistan batter Sahibzada Farhan scored 76 runs in the third T20 International against Sri Lanka, who won by eight wickets to avoid a series whitewash.

Sri Lanka chased down the target of 169 with 17 balls to spare. Captain Kusal Mendis remained unbeaten on 87 off 48 balls, while Kamindu Mendis finished on 40 not out.

Pakistan’s bowlers struggled, fielders missed chances and the batting line-up faltered. Despite the defeat, Pakistan won the three-match series 2-1 and celebrated with the trophy.

Farhan made history by setting a record for the most runs in a three-match T20I series between Test-playing nations. He scored 230 runs against Sri Lanka at an average of 79 and was named Player of the Series, surpassing India’s Abhishek Sharma’s previous record.
