Reactions As Gov Mbah Announces That Those Who Shot During NDC Rally Will Be Arrested And Prosecuted

Social media users have taken to their official X account on October 12, 2026 to react to the statement that the governor of Enugu state, Peter Mbah made about the recent rally that was conducted by members of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC.

In the statement that surfaced online, the governor of Enugu state said during the political rally, somebody was shot and left injured.

He condemned the act of violence and stated that those who perpetrated it will be arrested by security operatives and prosecuted.

Governor Peter Mbah stated that Enugu is a peaceful state and no act of violence will be tolerated.

According to the governor of Enugu state on his official X account;

“I am deeply concerned by the reports of violence surrounding the recent political gathering in Enugu, particularly the shooting that left a citizen injured.

“My immediate concern is for those who have been hurt, those who experienced fear and the families affected”.
