Osun Governor’s Support Group Targets 1.5 Million Votes for President Tinubu in 2027
Cross-party endorsements and alliances remain a defining feature of Nigeria’s political landscape ahead of general elections. Examining how opposition campaign organizations align with incumbent federal leadership offers voters a clearer picture of regional party dynamics, strategic power consolidation, and ballot expectations.
The political campaign structure of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, known as the The Imole Campaign Council (TICC), has pledged to deliver 1.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election.
According to a detailed report published by The Punch Newspaper, the commitment follows the official appointment of Governor Adeleke as the State Coordinator for the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) Presidential Campaign Council in Osun State. The announcement coincided with the release of the updated All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign list, which also features notable political leaders across various political affiliations.
Speaking on behalf of the organization, the Director-General of the campaign council, Olalere Oyewumi, welcomed the governor’s appointment into the federal campaign architecture. He emphasized that the council is fully mobilized to consolidate political support across Osun State to secure a strong victory for the President at the polls.
The campaign council urged residents and voters in Osun State to remain supportive of the state government’s ongoing development programs while rallying behind the federal leadership. Representatives of the council maintained that backing President Tinubu aligns directly with supporting the progress and governance goals set by Governor Adeleke in the state.
Official electoral figures indicate that Osun State boasts over 2.3 million registered voters, providing a substantial voting block for the campaign structure to target. Political observers note that cross-party coordination and early mobilization efforts by campaign groups will play a critical role in determining voter turnout and election outcomes across the South-West region in 2027.
