According to a report by Ghbase News on Tuesday October 13, 2026, Ghanaian actress Vivian Jill Lawrence has been overcome with emotion while paying tribute to her late sister, Mabel Ntuah, remembering her as a hardworking woman whose determination and sacrifices helped protect their family from poverty.

The actress struggled to hold back her tears as she reflected on the challenges they faced together while growing up and living in Accra.

According to Vivian Jill, her late sister played a crucial role in encouraging the family to work hard, remain determined and strive for a better life despite the difficulties they encountered.

Speaking at Mabel Ntuah’s vigil on October 12, 2026, Vivian Jill recounted the difficult experiences they endured, particularly during their time in East Legon, Accra.

She described her sister as a strong and supportive figure who understood their struggles and consistently pushed them to improve their circumstances.

In an emotional account of their relationship, the actress recalled how Mabel once held her hand and reminded her of their humble beginnings, stressing the need for them to work tirelessly to overcome the hardships they had experienced.

“At a point in time, my sister held my hand and said, ‘You know where we are coming from; we need to work hard. We have really suffered in Accra, especially in East Legon. My sister stood firm and made sure poverty did not come close to our family,” she said tearfully.

Her remarks offered a glimpse into the personal sacrifices Mabel made to support her family and the determination with which she approached life’s challenges.

For Vivian Jill, her sister was more than a relative; she was a source of encouragement and a driving force who helped shape their family’s pursuit of a better future.

The actress also expressed deep regret over her inability to do more for Mabel, considering everything her late sister had done for the family.

Her words conveyed the pain of losing someone whose contributions went far beyond what could easily be repaid.

Vivian Jill said she wished she could do whatever was possible for her sister in appreciation of the sacrifices she had made throughout their lives.

She added that anyone who had the opportunity to know Mabel, even for a short period, would understand why her death had affected her so deeply.

“I want to do whatever I can for her because I know how much she has done for this family. Even if you meet Mabel for just a day, you will understand where I am coming from and feel the pain in my heart,” she added.

The actress’s tribute painted a picture of a woman whose commitment to her family left a lasting impression on those closest to her.

Her recollections also highlighted the profound bond between the sisters and the difficult emotions that accompany the loss of a loved one who played such an important role in one’s life.

Mabel Ntuah, who was the Chief Executive Officer of Mayan Stitches, was honoured by family members, friends and loved ones during the vigil held on October 12, 2026, ahead of her final funeral rites.

Her burial is scheduled for October 22, 2026, at the State House in Accra, where relatives, friends, associates and well-wishers are expected to gather to pay their final respects.

As the family prepares to lay Mabel to rest, Vivian Jill’s emotional tribute has underscored the significant role her late sister played in their lives.

Beyond her professional achievements as the head of Mayan Stitches, Mabel will be remembered by her sister as a determined woman who worked hard to secure a better future for her family and keep poverty at bay.
