Muslim-Muslim Ticket Supporters Wants To Rig Elections, They’d Fail In Their Evil Deeds–Dachomo
According to a report by Daily Post on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, the Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, has denied allegations that he campaigned for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.
He maintained that his activities and prayers during his recent visit to Israel were not intended to promote any political party or candidate.
The controversy followed claims by popular social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), who criticised the cleric in a viral video shared across social media platforms on Monday.
The activist accused Dachomo of abandoning his previous criticism of Tinubu’s administration and instead encouraging prayers for the president’s political success.
Dachomo recently travelled to Israel as part of efforts to draw international attention to alleged killings of Christians in Plateau State and other parts of the Middle Belt.
According to VDM, the cleric was expected to raise the issue with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other world leaders during the visit.
However, the activist alleged that the trip had taken a different direction, claiming that Dachomo used the opportunity to pray for Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) government to succeed in the 2027 elections.
He questioned the cleric’s alleged change of position, particularly given his previous criticism of the federal government over insecurity and concerns about religious persecution.
VDM further alleged that Dachomo had been compromised, claiming he was certain that the presidency had contacted the clergyman and facilitated his trip to Israel.
The activist also recalled the cleric’s previous opposition to the Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket of Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Responding to the allegations in a statement published on his social media accounts, Dachomo rejected claims that he had prayed or campaigned for Tinubu, Shettima or the APC to win the next presidential election.
He described the alleged use of his name for political branding as wicked and explained that his prayers focused on national peace, divine intervention against evil plans and the protection of persecuted communities.
The cleric maintained that he had prayed against electoral manipulation and had never supported a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket.
He said his position had been misrepresented, with attention directed away from his opposition to wrongdoing.
He stated, “While Muslim-Muslim ticket supporters are thinking of rigging elections, the only thing I am praying for is that they should fail in their evil deeds. Let them fail in their evil thinking. Let the evil ones in Nigeria fail woefully in whatever they are doing.
