Kitui Teacher Stabs Teacher Girlfriend Multiple Times, Stabs Himself and Sets House on Fire

Shock has gripped residents of Nzambani Sub-County in Kitui County after a female student from Kitui Teachers Training College and her boyfriend, a Junior Secondary School (JSS) teacher, were seriously injured in a violent domestic incident at their house.

The two are receiving treatment at Kitui Level 4 Hospital following an incident in which the teacher allegedly attacked his girlfriend with a knife before turning the weapon on himself and setting their house on fire.

According to reports, the man stabbed the woman several times in the head, leaving her with serious injuries.

He then reportedly stabbed himself in the stomach before setting the house ablaze under circumstances that remain unclear.

Neighbors heard commotion coming from the house and rushed to help. They rescued the two victims from the burning building and took them to hospital, where doctors are working to save their lives.

The motive behind the incident remains unknown, with investigators expected to establish what led to the violent confrontation between the lovers.

The male teacher is receiving treatment under police guard as authorities begin investigations into the incident.

The incident adds to growing concerns over violence among couples and people in romantic relationships, with disputes sometimes escalating into life-threatening confrontations.

Cases involving partners attacking each other have raised questions about how disagreements are handled and the need for early intervention when relationships become troubled.

Authorities continue to urge couples to resolve disagreements peacefully and seek help when conflicts become difficult to manage. They also encourage people experiencing relationship challenges to involve trusted individuals or appropriate support services before situations escalate.
