Jeff Bezos Calls Out ‘Politicians’ Who ‘Pick Villains’ After Report He Was Negatively Affected by the Trump Family’s Latest Move

In an October 2026 interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, the Amazon founder discussed America’s current “affordability problems.” He pointed to housing prices, claiming that several politicians often blame “greedy landlords” for the ongoing issue.

Bezos didn’t name a specific politician or party—but he noted that some are taking responsibility and ruling “correctly” on housing, while others are simply pinning the blame on someone else. “When you’re in the polling booth, and you’re thinking about who you’re going to vote for, think about this: If there’s a politician that is picking villains and pointing fingers, that probably means they don’t have a solution,” Bezos said. “If they had a solution, instead of blaming somebody, they’d be working on the solution.”

Bezos went on to say that if an employee at one of his companies constantly pointed fingers and blamed others, they “wouldn’t be in our company for long.”

Shortly after the interview aired, many on social media claimed Bezos’ remarks could be applied to his friend, President Donald Trump.

Another X user wrote, “Like when Trump and team constantly blame Biden, Obama, the Democrats, Hillary, Hunter, etc.?? Does he mean like that?”

“He’s describing Trump without knowing it,” a third X user replied.

Bezos hasn’t confirmed whether he was criticizing Trump, but his comments follow a recent report suggesting he was humiliated by the POTUS’ family’s latest move.

Page Six revealed in an October 5 report that Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, and her husband, Jared Kushner, were accepted into the ultra-exclusive Indian Creek Country Club that Bezos has been trying to join for years.

A source previously told the outlet that Bezos and his wife, Lauren Sánchez Bezos, are likely to become members—but they will have to wait in line.

“No one is going to make it easy because he is Jeff Bezos,” the insider explained. “You have to go to mixers. You don’t just move there and think you can get in. For anyone.”
