Follow Daily Mail Sport’s live coverage for the latest updates as Manchester United travel to Atletico Madrid and Arsenal host Lille in the Champions League.

They couldn't have gotten off to a worse start and now this place is absolutely bouncing. It's somehow louder than it was before kick-off, and boy, was it loud then.

United look all over the place; Atletico Madrid are hunting them down like a pack of wolves.

The worst possible start for Manchester United.

So much for a 'must not lose' game; Michael Carrick's side are behind inside 53 seconds.

Pablo Barrios gets on the end of an immediate counter, and in acres of space he lets fly. Ayden Heaven can't stop the ball from trickling over the line.

What in the hell was that defending? Shambles.

There is a moment of silence for Atletico Madrid's captain Koke's mother, who sadly passed away this morning.

The crowd stays hushed while the club anthem plays beautifully in the background. An emotional moment.

It comes to an end, and then this cauldron of noise gets going again – what an atmosphere.

Lille get the game underway at the Emirates.

The visitors are sporting an all navy kit. A bit PSG-esque.

A dramatic light show at the Emirates just before the teams emerged from the tunnel.

The warm-ups are coming to an end, which means that the two feature games are really not far away now.

Personally, I'm not in a cracking mood because of the DJ at the Metropolitano – they were playing some amazing rock tunes. I'm pumped.

Let's hope these games rock our world.

A new mural has been created by Arsenal supporting street artists, which can be seen on route to the Emirates.

The latest artwork takes a jab at Manchester City after the club were found guilty of breaching Premier League financial rules, which they are now appealing against.

It depicts Rui Pinto, the computer hacker who leaked the documents which led to the investigation into Man City.

Prime Minister Andy Burnham, who has got himself into a bit of a muddle with his responses to the verdict, and Oasis' Liam Gallagher are also visible.

'Don't look hack in anger,' reads a message, playing on one of Oasis' hits.

Wayne Rooney, former Man United skipper, speaking about Michael Carrick on Amazon Prime:

The Emirates looks ready to host its right Champions League fixture of the season.

The last time the Gunners were in action here in the competition Mikel Arteta's side were booking their place in last season's final.

There are a lot of hurdles standing in the way of Arsenal and back-to-back finals, with tonight's match the latest step on what they hope will be a journey ending in Madrid.
