Aleksey Batrakov stunned Barca by putting the hosts ahead in the first half against the run of play, but Joao Cancelo levelled the game before the break.

Barca then came alive early in the second half as Fermin Lopez, Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi struck between the 50th and 65th minute to secure the victory and go top of the Champions League standings.

Barcelona started brightly in a raucous Rams Park, dominating possession and exploiting Galatasaray’s high defensive line. Dani Olmo was denied by a fine Urgakan Cakir save after being played through by Pedri, while Lamine Yamal fired over as the visitors looked to make their early pressure count.

Galatasaray gradually disrupted Barca’s rhythm with an aggressive press, but the visitors continued to threaten in behind. Anthony Gordon forced another good save from Cakir in the 17th minute, before Olmo narrowly missed Yamal’s dangerous cross as Barcelona searched for the opener.

Against the run of play, Galatasaray struck in the 28th minute through Batrakov and a nice assist from Rafael Leao, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.

The visitors made the reprieve count when Cancelo equalised in the 43rd minute, the full-back being in space on the left before he opened his body and found the far corner.
