DC Peshawar directs officers to prioritise public service

Peshawar  –  Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Afaq Wazir has directed district administration officers to perform their duties with honesty, integrity and a strong commitment to public service.

He issued these directions during an introductory meeting with district administration officers after assuming charge.

Additional deputy commissioners, assistant commissioners and additional assistant commissioners attended the meeting and briefed him on the administrative affairs, performance and issues in their respective areas.

Afaq Wazir directed the officers to ensure that their subordinate staff took all necessary measures to provide better facilities to the public and address citizens’ concerns effectively. In line with the directions of the Peshawar Division Commissioner, he stressed the need to eliminate encroachments on a permanent basis, ensure smooth traffic flow, prevent overcharging and resolve public grievances on a priority basis.

He said the administration should take effective measures to reduce the difficulties faced by citizens and improve service delivery across the district.
