KENNEWICK, Wash. – A frequently-traveled intersection in Kennewick will be closed overnight for much of the next 10 days as crews perform road work at the intersection.

According to the Kennewick Police Department, the intersection of west 10th Avenue and south Olympia Street will be closed to all traffic overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting on October 12 and going through October 23. KPD officials said the closure will allow for construction in the area.

Officials have not spoken on what construction will take place. A gas station is being built on the corner of 10th Avenue and Olympia Street.

Northbound and southbound travelers can take south Rainier Street to the west of Olympia Street or south Garfield Street to the east of Olympia Street.
