KARACHI: In a harrowing and spine-chilling incident in the Malir Gulshan-e-Hadid area of the City of Lights, police have recovered a crucial signed note bearing bloodstains from a house where the bodies of five family members were found. The letter was allegedly written by the family before taking the extreme step.

The writing begins by stating the reasons behind taking this drastic step. It explains that ever since the father’s passing, close relatives had been relentlessly harassing them and falsely accusing them of being responsible for the father’s death.

The letter notes that there was no source of income left in the house. For the past six months, the family had been begging relatives for financial assistance to survive—asking for money at various times for grocery rations, baby milk, and even to refill the cooking gas cylinder.

According to the text, aunts, uncles, and cousins had pushed humiliation to its absolute limits. These were the very individuals who had promised during the elders’ lifetimes that they would take care of the children after they passed away. However, when the time of need arose, they turned their backs, offering neither financial support nor any assistance in securing employment.

The victims stated that relatives neither visited them nor allowed them into their homes. If they attempted to visit the relatives themselves, they were shoved and thrown out of the house. Furthermore, the father’s funeral was not even allowed to be held from their own home.

Mention of Severe Depression and Black Magic:

Due to these bitter circumstances and mounting depression, their mental balance was severely affected. The letter also revealed that black magic had been performed against their house, with evidence and objects recovered, and implicated relatives in this heinous act as well.

Disillusionment with the Legal System and Final Wish:

Expressing profound anger and frustration toward the country’s legal system at the conclusion of the text, the writers stated that no expectations could be placed on this system. As a final wish, they demanded that the individuals responsible for driving them to these circumstances be made an example of before the world.

It is worth noting that in this tragic Gulshan-e-Hadid incident, 30-year-old Shahzaib allegedly poisoned his wife, sister, and children before shooting himself with a pistol, plunging the entire neighborhood into deep mourning and shock.
