Arrests made in Roanoke County massage parlors

ROANOKE COUNTY, VA. (WFXR) – Roanoke County Police executed search warrants at what they’re calling several “illicit massage parlors” across the county on Monday as a part of an ongoing criminal investigation.

Heavy police presence was seen on Brambleton Ave. among several massage parlors on both sides of the road.

Outside one of the businesses, Angel Massage, a woman escorted out in handcuffs. One police officer standing outside confirmed she was under arrest but couldn’t confirm her role at the establishment or what she was charged with.

Roanoke County Police say the investigation began following citizen complaints about suspected illicit massage parlors. Officers executed search warrants around Monday morning at eight business’s across the county, including three locations along Brambleton Ave.

While at Angel Massage, we attempted to speak with surrounding business owners, but they declined to comment. People at a gas station across the street, who live in the surrounding area, told WFXR they mainly noticed activity at night.

One resident, whose daughter lives down the road questioned the business’s activity saying, “it’s weird because she never really has any customers.”

While the search warrants were being executed, police were able to report victims, remove them from the premises and offer resources.

Authorities confirm subjects have been arrested and processing is still underway. The names of those arrested and the charges are expected to be released later.

For now police say this remains an ongoing investigation. We’ll continue to follow this story as more information becomes available.
