As the star-studded family grapples with Presley Gerber's death, Tropical Storm Rachel is causing massive chaos in Southern California, putting lavish beachfront properties like the supermodel's at risk.
Large waves have been spotted crashing into homes in California, and officials estimate that $1.5 million to $3.5 million will be needed to repair the damage. This comes at a time when Cindy Crawford, 60, is said to be "inconsolable" and "absolutely devastated" in the wake of her son's passing. "This is every parent's worst nightmare, and the family is still trying to process everything that happened," an insider told Page Six. Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber also took a painful decision over Presley's remains.

The horror storm, on the other hand, is showing no signs of slowing down. Crawford and Gerber's sprawling Malibu home, described as a "coastal retreat," is facing severe beach erosion at its million-dollar beach due to Tropical Storm Rachel.
The ocean is reportedly also pounding against the power couple's guest house. As El Niño conditions intensify and cause unusually high sea levels and dangerous coastal flooding, the already vulnerable property is at great risk.
El Niño recurs irregularly, from two years to a decade, and no two events are exactly alike. El Niño events can disrupt normal weather patterns in the United States and globally.
The National Weather Service said on Sunday that coastal flooding remains a threat in San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo until Tuesday.
Other celebrities' homes at risk include Kim Kardashian's and Nicolas Cage's sprawling beachfront mansions. Cage's home, close to Lechuza Beach, was previously damaged by severe coastal erosion in September, and a massive sinkhole opened beneath its driveway.
The crater tore through the public roadway in front of the $10.5 million glass-walled beachfront estate that the actor purchased in 2024.
Aerial footage and images reveal the extent of the collapse near Cage's garage, which destroyed part of his driveway, leaving broken concrete and exposed dirt.
Kim Kardashian's luxury $70.4 million Malibu home faces a similar fate, as massive waves and aggressive tides bring grave safety concerns. The reality star bought the home in September 2022, and the property was previously owned by Crawford.
Kim's lavish abode spans over 5,000 square feet and has four spacious bedrooms and six bathrooms. The property offers lush landscaped grounds with scenic ocean vistas and private beach access, which makes it particularly vulnerable to the tropical storm.
