Captain Smart, host of Onua TV’s Morning Show, has called on drivers to be more careful on major highways and avoid speeding.

During his programme, he urged Ghanaians to put their safety first and drive responsibly. He paid particular attention to motorists travelling from western Ghana to the Greater Accra Region, advising them to stay alert throughout their trips.

The broadcaster singled out the Kumasi–Konongo and Konongo–Pokuase highways as roads where drivers should take extra precautions. He stressed that reducing speed and maintaining control of their vehicles were essential for safe journeys.

“Every driver should exercise caution today, particularly those travelling from the western part of Ghana to Greater Accra. Be especially careful on the Kumasi–Konongo and Konongo–Pokuase highways. If you intend to drive at 200 kilometres per hour, reduce your speed by half. Take your time and drive carefully,” Captain Smart said.

The advice follows growing concerns about road safety and the state of some major highways. Motorists are being encouraged to follow traffic rules, avoid dangerous driving and take necessary precautions to prevent accidents.
